Welcome

The current focus of our department is kidney function and its importance for cardiovascular control. The individual research groups act in a concerted effort to disentangle the complex relationship between systemic hemodynamics and the kidney. Moreover, light is shed on to developmental aspects. These efforts are supported by several federal grants, mainly by the German Research Foundation. The various levels at which research takes place is mirrored by the broad spectrum of Journals where the results of this department have been published over the latest decade.
